Meesons installed Security Portals & Speed Gates at Europe’s largest biomedical research facility

The Francis Crick Institute is the largest a biomedical research institute in Europe, located next to London’s St Pancras Station. Their goal is to support scientific research goals while promoting public engagement. To achieve this it was essential the the building was accessible for public lectures, exhibitions, and a teaching laboratory but this posed a high security risk.

Solutions

To support the open feel required , Meesons installed a mix of security portals and speed gates. 5 lanes of EasyGate HG High Glass Speed Gates, providing a stylish, quick throughput that controlled access from the main reception. With 1800mm high glass wings, the speed gates act as a visual deterrent to potential intruders as well as enhancing the level of security.
